Teaching young adults who struggle socially, how to make and keep friends.

Links - PEERS® Program and Course Content

Friends Matter PEERS® courses are run weekly over 14 weeks and are approximately 90 mins in duration. Participants will learn about Social Independence, Transitioning to adulthood, How to Flirt and Get a Date, Appropriate conversational skills, Choosing appropriate friends, Appropriate use of the internet, Appropriate use of humour and assessment of humour feedback, How to start, enter, and exit conversations, How to organise successful get-togethers with friends, How to develop romantic relationships and use appropriate dating etiquette, How to handle arguments and disagreements with friends, Handling rejection, teasing, bullying and rumours /gossip.
